Our mission is to offer the aluminum industry a unique, innovative and reliable technology.
OTI’s process is a long-term and permanent solution with complete recovery of fluorinated residues and elimination of the environmental debt. Given the availability of this process, burial and partial treatment have become an obsolete and unacceptable solution from a social and environmental standpoint.
Our unique technology helps our clients achieve a better environmental performance through a value-added recovery of the products they entrust to us.
Products
ADCIM
The fluorinated waste produced by aluminum smelting is recycled into a value-added engineered product by the OTI process that meets Certification Standard CSA A3004-2008 (ASCM).
ADCIM, once finely ground from the engineered ORITEC product, possesses a remarkable reactive potential.
This product feature makes it a sought-after hydraulic bonding agent for the production of concrete.
Scientific research has shown that ADCIM generated by the OTI process could replace 20 to 30 % of the Portland cement used in the production of concrete.
Mechanical tests show that the utilization of this new engineered product increases concrete’s performance. Tests show that our material decreases concrete’s porosity and permeability, leading to increased durability.
Laboratory tests cited in numerous scientific publications highlight the main cementitious qualities of a product with the same characteristics as ADCIM:
